CHRISTINE

She, Her, Hers

I was born and raised in West Texas (USA), and when I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree, I moved to Thailand. I helped out with an orphanage and was a nanny to three precious boys from Singapore for nearly 2 years. I met my husband there, and after getting married, we both got our Masters degrees (mine in Counseling) and moved to the Middle East, where we have lived for over 12 years.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Indiana and Iowa (USA), Telehealth certified in Florida, USA, a Licensed School Counselor (K-12) in Indiana, USA, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Board Certified in Telemental Health (BC-TMH), an FMF Specialist Trainee, as well as a Certified Trauma Practitioner (Level 1). After spending 4.5 wonderful years serving as the Head of the Counseling Department, working as both a School Counselor and Mental Health Counselor for staff and students, at an International British School, I decided to go into private practice to afford myself and my family more flexibility. After living overseas for over 15 years, I recently relocated back to the USA, but I will continue working with international clients online.

what I do

I work with children and adults from all walks of life and from all over the world, and use an integrative approach to counseling, as I don't believe that one-size-fits-all in therapy. I am passionate about helping expatriate adults and third culture kids (TCK's) as they live in new cultures and navigate all that entails. I also enjoy working with international clients, specifically Arab clients, and have a good understanding of the culture and traditions. I am EMDR Trained (Level 2), trauma informed, adoption informed/attachment focused, and often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, self-compassion, person-centered approaches, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and psychodynamic approaches. I also have training in the Families Moving Forward (FMF) Program, which is an evidence-based intervention for parents of children with an FASD to help support them on their parenting journey leading to improvements in their child's behavior. Please see my services page for more information.

About Therapy & Coaching

Therapy and Coaching with me is all about building a strong connection so we can journey together wherever you want to go.

My approach to therapy may be different from other therapists. I don't have my life totally put together, but I am in process just like you and willing to share my journey as needed to help you reach your full potential. I believe that a strong therapeutic connection can facilitate lasting change.
